MORAL VALUES:
1. Do we have a moral responsibility towards less fortunate people?
Of course. But our responsibility must be conveyed into helping them learn to help themselves. There should be limits and standards of help.
2. Is it wrong to divulge a secret someone has confined you?
It depends on the secret/information given to you.
If this information poses no harm to anyone, then divulging this information to anyone is morally wrong. However, if sharing this information may protect someone (the person who told you or someone else) then you can be assured that sharing this information will be morally appropriate.
3. Should we eat meat? Should we wear animal skin?
Yes. Because meat contains nutrients that gives us energy to do our daily tasks.
No, specially when animals were killed only for their skin.
4. Should we try to keep people alive at all cost, no matter what their physical or mental condition?
Personally, it would depend on how much pain they are dealing with. If it's the kind that would make them scream and trashed around, why should we make them suffer any longer? We may attempt to keep them alive because we are not strong enough to let them go, but who are we to deny them of peace and salvation? This may be the greatest love we can give them - to be able to sacrifice our love for them to give them the chance to rest, where they are free from any worldly pains and worries.
Lawfully, yes, because euthanasia is not legal in our country.
5. Is it wrong to kill someone in self defense?
Yes, because no matter how bloodthirsty or evil is the person attacking you, we do not have the right to claim their life, for it is a right only God possesses.
6. Should people be given equal opportunities, regardless of race, religion, or gender?
Yes, because when God told Adam and Eve to "go and multiply", he also told them that they are to be the master of everything, that they should take care of everything. There's a reason why God didn't tell them to bear children that would be divided and be given inequality to every instances they meet.
7. Is it wrong to ridicule someone even if you believe it's in "good fun"?
Yes, because making fun of others cannot be made valid no matter what kind of intention a person has on his mind. A person's appearance, intelligence, or even smell, is part of his identity, one which presents his existence. And Jesus said that whatever we do to others, we do to Jesus himself.
8. Should we "bend the rules" to advance your career?
No. For if you do it, it is like you're saying that don't have that ability/capacity to be successful without bending the rule. It is like you're underestimating yourself.
And in reality, achieving your goal with your own sweat and blood is very gratifying rather than having those "shortcuts".
9. Is it all right to manipulate people in doing what you want if you believe it's for their own good?
I think Yes. As long as we don't lead them to any harm. And that is for their own good also.
10. Is their any wrong with pornography?
Yes of course. Aside from degrading the integrity of those who are involved, I also think that pornography is the main reason why cases of sexual harassments are increasing.
11. Should we always try to take other people's need into consideration when we act or should we first make sure that our own needs are taken care of?
We should prioritize our needs first before fulfilling the needs of others. Because how can you consider others' needs if you yourself can not fulfill your own needs? For as the saying states, "How can you love others when you don't know how to love yourself?"
12. Should we experiment with animals in order to improve the quality of our lives?
Yes, if those experiments are for the benefit of all. Like for example creating a new drug, for we can not test those drugs in humans immediately for maybe it will be a failure. As a matter of fact there were a lot of medicines produced by animal experiments.
